Terms of Service
Unsocial — getunsocial.app · Last updated: 18 July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using getunsocial.app (the "Service"), operated by Unsocial Pty Ltd ("Unsocial", "we", "us"), a company registered in South Africa, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What Unsocial Does
Unsocial is a social media scheduling platform that lets you create, schedule and automatically publish posts, reels and stories to your connected social media accounts — currently Facebook, Instagram and Threads, with support for TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn planned — using each platform's official API. Unsocial also provides analytics on your published posts and suggests posting times based on your own historical performance.
Unsocial is a scheduling and analytics tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Google, X Corp, Pinterest, or LinkedIn. Your use of each connected platform remains subject to that platform's own terms of service.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- The Service is intended for business, freelance and organisational use.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials — including Google or Apple sign-in — secure, and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
4. Free Trial
We offer a 7-day free trial. No payment card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, access to paid features ends unless you actively choose to subscribe to a paid plan — we will never automatically charge you at the end of a trial. We may change the length or eligibility of the trial at any time.
5. Subscriptions, Plans & Billing
- Unsocial is offered on a paid subscription basis, currently on two tiers — Solo and Business — each available monthly or at a discounted annual rate, billed in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Current pricing and plan features are shown at getunsocial.app and may change from time to time; we'll give you reasonable notice before a price change applies to your next billing cycle.
- All payments are processed by Paystack, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, per your plan) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period, and you'll keep access until then.
6. Refunds
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. If you believe you're entitled to one — for example due to a billing error or service outage — contact support@getunsocial.app and we'll review the circumstances and let you know our decision.
7. Connecting Social Media Accounts
- You may connect third-party social media accounts — currently Facebook, Instagram and Threads — via each platform's official API and authentication flow.
- You're solely responsible for complying with each connected platform's own terms of service, community guidelines and API policies. Unsocial isn't responsible if a platform suspends, restricts or terminates your account, or changes or revokes API access, for reasons outside our control.
- You can disconnect any social media account at any time from your Unsocial settings. We'll immediately stop posting to and pulling data from that account and delete the associated access tokens.
- If a connected platform's API changes, becomes unavailable, or a token expires and isn't refreshed, some features — like scheduled posting — may stop working. We'll try to notify you, but we're not liable for missed posts caused by third-party platform issues.
8. Your Content
- You retain ownership of all content — captions, images, video, reels — that you create or upload to Unsocial.
- You grant Unsocial a limited licence to store, process and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — i.e. to schedule and publish it to your connected accounts and generate analytics.
- You're solely responsible for the legality, accuracy and appropriateness of everything you post. You must not use Unsocial to schedule or publish content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or that violates any connected platform's policies.
- We may suspend or remove access to the Service if we reasonably believe you're using it to publish unlawful content, or in a way that puts our API access with social platforms at risk.
9. Scheduling, Publishing & Analytics — No Guarantee
- Posts are published through a scheduled, cron-triggered process at the times you set. While we aim for reliable, on-time publishing, we don't guarantee posts will publish at the exact scheduled time, or at all, particularly where this depends on third-party platform availability, API rate limits, or expired or revoked tokens.
- Analytics and "best time to post" suggestions are generated from your own historical post data and are estimates meant to inform your strategy — they are not guarantees of engagement, reach or business outcomes.
- We are not liable for lost engagement, followers, revenue or business opportunities resulting from a failed, delayed or mistimed post.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for spam, or for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its operation
- Use the Service in a way that violates any connected social platform's terms or API policies
- Share your account beyond your plan's permitted team or user limits
- Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and the Unsocial name and logo, is owned by Unsocial Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.
12. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required to by law or by a connected platform's policies.
- When you delete your account, your data is handled as described in the "Data Retention & Account Deletion" section of our Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any specific business outcome — engagement, sales, followers — will result from using it.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Unsocial Pty Ltd's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data or lost business opportunities — including where these result from third-party platform outages, API changes, or account suspensions outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where this isn't permitted by law, such as for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Unsocial Pty Ltd against any claims, losses or damages arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of a connected platform's terms.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without prejudice to any statutory consumer rights you may have.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as we add features — such as support for TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest or LinkedIn — or as our business evolves. We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
